ABI Lab’s AI Hub

The AI Hub is a center of expertise in Artificial Intelligence. Its members include teams of experts, ICT partner companies, research bodies, and institutions, all aiming to encourage AI adoption in the banking sector.

BIP xTech, as a participating company, contributes to research initiatives developed within the AI Hub. It provides concrete input into the development and definition of the main outputs released.

AI Hub’s Main Activities:

AI Hub engages in several key activities. It conducts comprehensive research in artificial intelligence and monitors the regulatory environment to stay informed about relevant legal and policy developments. Additionally, it fosters synergies with the scientific community to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. The hub scouts for potential areas where AI can be experimented with and applied, and it collects and analyzes case studies to identify best practices and drive innovation.

AI Hub’s Outputs:

AI Hub produces detailed analysis reports, guidance documents, positioning papers, and specialized insights from its research activities. It participates in regular meetings with banks, offering in-depth technical insights on topics selected by its members.

Moreover, members have opportunities to present and discuss their work at periodic meetings and an annual workshop.

ABI Lab’s Observatory on IT Architecture and Cloud

The Observatory on IT Architecture and Cloud supports banks in analyzing their IT infrastructures, facilitating sharing of blueprints and architectural best practices.

Additionally, it delves into key trends in IT governance in banking and supports banks in adopting cloud computing.

Observatory’s Main Activities:

The Observatory engages in several key activities. It analyzes trends in IT governance and shares project guidance for efficient IT management. It discusses main trends in technological evolution impacting banking architectures and participates in structured discussions on the evolution of IT architectures. It also develops research activities, analyzes, and shares reports and experiences regarding cloud computing adoption in banks.

Observatory’s Outputs:

The Observatory proposes several areas of interest to be explored during the year in research and survey activities. It coordinates deep dive sessions held by banks and partner companies. At the end of the year, a final report is shared with the insights and results of the annual research.

Conclusion

Being part of the AI Hub and the Observatory on IT Architecture and Cloud will ensure an increasingly privileged position in the world of artificial intelligence and cloud applied to the banking sector.
